In-Ward is a major choreographic work for Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé and her company Ebnflōh, produced with the support of the CCOV-Centre de création O Vertigo.
The performance will be presented to school audiences at Théâtre Outremont on May 14, marking the end of a remarkable touring cycle with an impressive track record:
World premiere at MAI in January 2019;
Revival at Agora de la danse in March 2020;
Over a dozen performances across Quebec, from Sept-Îles to Longueuil;
More than ten shows across Canada, from coast to coast;
Official showcase at the international dance conference Tanzmesse in Düsseldorf;
Over ten performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival;
Six shows as part of the CAM en tournée 2024-2025 tour.
This creation earned Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé the “Revelation” Prize at the Montreal Dance Awards (Prix de la Danse de Montréal). The jury praised “the power of her choreographic approach” and noted “a signature that stands out for its depth.” Riding the wave of In-Ward’s success, Ebnflōh was also a finalist for the 35e Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal en 2020.

And that’s not all! From In-Ward emerged In-Beauty, a segment of the piece performed by four female dancers that explores femininity through the lens of Hip Hop. This site-specific work has also seen great success across Canada and Quebec, with around twenty performances—and it’s still touring today!
