We enthusiastically welcome bassist and composer Cédric Dind-Lavoie with his brand new project Archives. Archives is a strong work that marries folklore to ambient and introspective music with a resolutely modern and intimate approach.
The double bassist by training humbly reappropriates old treasures found through passionate research, an anthology of songs and instrumental tunes from the 40's and 50's taken from the collections of folklorists Simonne Voyer, Roger Matton and Luc Lacourcière among others.
It is as if Cédric Dind-Lavoie was able to slip through the cracks of time to meet these voices and their stories to accompany them.
