CONTEMPORARY DANCE & THEATER
Keep creating, especially when everything is collapsing.
Both in form and content, the works of Marilyn Daoust and Gabriel Léger-Savard draw on the collective experience inherent in the performing arts and take pleasure in playing with the visceral, spatial, and allegorical power of bodies and words to question the many imbalances of our time. Far from losing themselves in one another, this fusion of dance and theater allows them to rediscover each other, giving rise to multifaceted dramaturgy through this uncompromising blend. Their works are characterized by a strong artistic signature and themes that touch the very core of our humanity.

ENTRE NOUS

SYNOPSIS - ENTRE NOUS SOMMES PRIS ENTRE NOUS
Creation 2024 / 7 performers / 75 min.
These two women might never have met, yet they have become indispensable to each other. Decades have passed, and today, they contemplate the void together. While one fills it with her soliloquies, the other drives her four-wheeled walker along the borders of her memory. Together, they find themselves at the heart of a spiraling movement, where a chorus of six women summons their memories, their ancestors, their aspirations, their disappointments, and their hopes for the future.
Both humorous and touching, Entre nous sommes pris entre nous is a true ode to friendship—a human fresco that puts into perspective the cycles of life and generations, old age, and mutual support.
LE TEMPS DES FRUITS

SYNOPSIS - LE TEMPS DES FRUITS
Creation 2020 / 2 Dancers / 85 min.
Two.
Facing the potential end of our civilization.
Dedicated to cataloguing and remodeling icons.
Loaded with millennia of conquests, ancient knowledge, discoveries, anxieties and disappointments, it will be necessary to deconstruct the stereotypes that constitute us and aspire to recast a certain heroism to think of contributing perhaps to a renewed humanity.
This multidisciplinary work is inspired by heritages that tend to get lost in the cycle of knowledge transmission. The two performers are anchored in a direct relationship with the audience, navigating the border between theater and contemporary dance. The work is supported by a video conception, organically entangled with the scenic action.
