FTA | Premiere of 2par2 + Traditional Dance Programming Workshop + Trad Dance Party


The Festival TransAmérique (FTA) is in full swing in Montreal, and our dance agents Élodie Legault and Yaëlle Azoulay will be taking part in a wide range of professional activities from June 2 to 10 across the festival’s various venues, while also accompanying Ebnflōh for the world premiere of 2par2.

In addition to her work as an agent, Yaëlle Azoulay is also a specialist in Québec traditional dance. She will be part of the teaching team for the workshop « Du patrimoine vivant à la scène : clés pour programmer la danse trad » (From Living Heritage to the Stage: Keys to Programming Traditional Dance) presented for presenters by La danse sur les routes du Québec in partnership with Danse Trad Québec. She will be joined by fellow specialists Pierre Chartrand, Jonathan C. Rousseau, and Lük Fleury.


Workshop

As part of the workshop, participants and the general public are invited to attend a traditional dance gathering on June 4 at Le Ministère. This event is part of the Urban Dance Gatherings series, which highlights emerging artists.

The evening will be called by Mélina Mauger-Lavigne, with music by Catherine Landry (fiddle), McKinley James (cello), and Marie-Soleil Pilette (piano).
