La Biennale de la danse en Afrique is a major event dedicated to contemporary choreographic creation from the African continent and its diaspora. It brings together artists and professionals from around the world through a program of performances, workshops, and networking opportunities. As a key platform for dissemination and exchange, it plays an essential role in increasing the visibility of African artists and fostering international collaborations, while highlighting works that engage with current social and cultural realities.
As part of this event, the Tunisian company Al Badil will present El Botinière, a choreographic work by Selim Ben Safia inspired by the world of Tunisian cabarets. Its presentation at the Biennale opens the door to new touring opportunities both in Africa and internationally.
In this context, Pénélope will be attending as a representative of Résonances and Al Badil on the African continent.
