This ballet masterfully tells Shakespeare’s tale of love, anguish and revenge. While remaining true to the original story, Bengt Jörgen has focused on principal scenes and characters in order to create a clear and emotionally driven journey. Jörgen’s choreography follows the development of its lead characters, Romeo and Juliet and mirrors the progression of their fated relationship.

The beautifully minimalist, flexible sets designed by Glenn Davidson, are easily integrated into the choreography and moved fluidly from scene to scene.
