When 2025 Still Resonates – A Look Back at a Rich and Inspiring Year at Résonances

The year 2025 was an especially active one for Résonances, both in terms of artistic development and professional outreach, in Québec, across Canada, and internationally.

Over the course of the year, the agency took part in 22 professional events, including major markets, conferences, and sector-wide gatherings such as APAP, Folk Alliance, Nordic Folk Alliance, WOMEX, RIDEAU, FTA, FURIES, Mundial Montréal, the Lyon Biennale, and the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. These activities led to 25 showcases and pitch presentations, providing valuable opportunities to position the artists we represent with national and international presenters and partners.

On the touring front, projects supported by Résonances totaled more than 530 performances in several countries in 2025. These tours underscore the strength of the development work carried out upstream and the relevance of the circulation strategies implemented in close collaboration with the artists.

The year was also marked by growing recognition of the agency’s expertise. Members of the Résonances team were invited to lead training sessions, facilitate workshops, and take part in panel discussions in a variety of professional settings, notably at Nordic Folk Alliance, Festival Trad Montréal, MUZ, and with the Youth Wing of the Rive-Sud Chamber of Commerce.

Internally, 2025 helped strengthen team cohesion and collaborative working methods. Coordination among the various departments—music, dance, circus, and young audiences—was central to operations, fostering better information flow, collective decision-making, and a strong, inclusive team spirit.

Over the course of the year, the agency also welcomed 10 new artists:

The year 2026 will mark an important milestone: Résonances’ 10th anniversary.
