SYNOPSIS - A CLOUD IN MY TUMMY

Creation 2024  / 3 dancers / Ages 4 and up

Who among us hasn’t felt overwhelmed by complex and paradoxical emotions? As soon as we can walk, we learn to recognize, understand, and tame our feelings and the physical reactions they evoke, like spontaneous laughter, tears or even frowns! A Cloud in My Tummy is a sensory journey into the true nature of feelings.

In an ever-changing, colourful set, three performers transport us through an emotional vortex, physicalizing our often confusing emotional states.

This dance piece offers a humorous and poetic sensory experience that feeds the mind and the imagination.

UN NUAGE DANS MON VENTRE

SYNOPSIS - THE 26 LETTER DANCE

Creation 2016  / 4 dancers / 60 min.

An interactive, multidisciplinary alphabet primer, The 26 Letter Dance is a journey into the world of letters and words. Physically and intellectually engaged in the piece, the young spectator is an active participant in this kaleidoscope rich in colours and textured dance.

In this bold and playful work, choreographer Hélène Langevin invites children to take part in a unique experience in which they not only see a dance performance but actively participate in the various tableaux that punctuate the piece–loosely structured miniatures. The show gets underway with A of course, with Z the last to take his leave. In between, the letters in this alphabet book embody a plethora of words, meanings, emotions and tones of voice.

The 26 Letter Dance is a very contemporary and poetic piece that expands the frontiers of performance for young audiences and turns the conventions of theatre inside out.

THE 26 LETTER DANCE

SYNOPSIS - KALÉIDOSCOPE

Creation 2020  / 4 dancers / 30 min. to 180 min.

Target audiences: 3-12 & families

The show begins with a dance performance inspired by Through My Eyes (2018) and features four performers wearing unusually shaped costumes. The ten-minute performance is followed by a twenty-minute workshop in which the audience also gets an opportunity to dance together.

Created in 2020 in response to the pandemic, Kaleidoscope gives children access to performing arts and the chance to get active and stimulate their creativity!

Originally intended for performance in a school environment, this work is also perfect for parks and public spaces. It offers children and families a fun encounter with movement and gets everyone dancing together.

SYNOPSIS - GLITCH

Creation 2022  / 4 dancers / 50 min.

A surrealistic fantasy, GLITCH transports us to the mysterious basement of a deserted theatre. At least that’s what our 4 intrepid explorers believe as they delve into this new universe that is about to change them forever.

What will they find in this strange dimension where the laws of reality defy those of our own? Lighting, stage design and costume all come together, at the mercy of the laser beam that becomes a fifth character. This is the glitch that appears, disappears and guides the young audience to the discovery of this forbidden place, where the gap between two worlds becomes almost illusory.

In this limitless playground where the protagonists and the elements are closely intertwined, GLITCH awakens the imagination and leads the spectator to question and embrace the unpredictable.

GLITCH

SYNOPSIS - THROUGH MY EYES

Creation 2018  / 4 dancers / 45 min / target audience: 3 +

A dancer enters the stage and discovers a ball. Intrigued, she moves toward it, carefully. As soon as she touches it, the magic of the stage is unleashed: the lights go up, the decor appears all around her, shadows play their tricks… and transform one dancer into many! Now there are four of her, to play together and discover a constantly changing environment: a graphical world made up of forms, colours, textures, sounds, and illusions. A topsy-turvy playground where dance continually shifts with the context, this performance full of surprises invites audiences to see the world afresh through the eyes of a child who explores.

An ode to the power of imagination, Through My Eyes stimulates the child’s senses and brings us back to one of the loveliest things about childhood: a tireless capacity for wonder.
